He established The Clare People newspaper in 2005 and served as its chief executive and managing editor until 2011. During that time, the paper won 16 national and international awards for editorial and photographic excellence as well as being nominated for six digital media awards.
He started his career with The Midland Tribune in Birr before moving to the Irish Press in Dublin. He is a former editor of The Clare Champion newspaper and served on the Broadcasting Complaints Commission of Ireland and the Irish executive council of the National Union of Journalists.

Colin holds a BSc in Journalism from Technological University of Dublin which he received in 2003. Having started with The Clare People as a sub editor in 2005, Colin was responsible for production of the newspaper, website, social media channels and special magazines between 2008 and 2019.
Colin taught sub editing and design on the undergraduate and masters journalism course in UL and was also heavily involved in the publication of annual newspapers, magazines and web projects.
Colin has worked as an online commentator for Eurosport covering cycling and soccer.


She has worked as a freelance for all of the national newspaper titles and a staff journalist in Limerick, helping to launch the Limerick edition of The Evening Echo. Bernie was involved in the launch of The Clare People where she was responsible for business and industry news.
She has been working with the Limerick Post for ten years, specialising in reporting on health, politics and business.

She has a Degree in An Ghaeilge agus na Meáin Úra (Irish and New Media) from the University of Limerick and has a Masters in Journalism from NUIGalway.
She is also the author of Broken Love: My Journey Through Loss & Grief and has been published in Mental Health 4 Millennials volumes 1-3 and will be part of the next instalment next year.

His work as a photographer has been published in local and national media, and he currently works on videography and editing for The Limerick Post Show.
He is host of the Limerick Post ‘news roundup’ and ‘We Are Limerick’ podcasts, as well as producing an economics podcast with Ann Blake and Dr Stephen Kinsella.
Reinhardt was nominated for Sports Photographer of the Year at the Student Media Awards in 2018.
